Ann Noel Dettmering

Ann is a partner with Smith, Schnatmeier, Dettmering & Kilgo, LLP. Her practice areas include Domestic Relations Litigation, Collaborative Law, and Mediation.
Ann was born in Pleasanton, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law in June 1985. Ann was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in June 1985.
Ann is an instructor for the Mediation Training Institute and is currently co-presenting seminars regarding the new Georgia Child Support Guidelines for mediators in the Atlanta and Athens areas. She is currently a member of the Georgia Bar, the Cobb County Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Atlanta Bar Association Family Law Section, the Cobb County Bar Association Family Law Section, and the Georgia Mediators Association. Ann is past president of the Cobb County Bar Association and past president of the Family Law Section.
In addition to the Georgia Bar, Ann has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court of Georgia, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ann lives in Kennesaw, Georgia, and is a member of various organizations including Kazakhstan-Atlanta Adoptive Families, the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, and Mensa.
